Dr. Maggie Coleman is a licensed psychologist and trauma specialist working in Philadelphia, PA. She received her undergraduate degree from University of Chicago and doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Florida, where she specialized in trauma.
Professionally, Maggie has worked in various community mental health and private practice settings for many years until opening her private practice in 2021. She has worked with a variety of diagnoses including PTSD, depression, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, and adjustment disorders. Maggie enjoys working with a variety of people and prides herself on understanding each person deeply.
Over time, Maggie developed an affinity and proclivity for working with trauma and mindfulness, focusing her education and training in those areas and becoming trained in EMDR in 2020. Maggie has built a personal yoga and meditation practice beginning in graduate school, solidifying her lifelong interest and reverence for mindfulness practices and the mind-body connection.
For fun, she enjoys hiking in the Wissahickon, attending and teaching yoga classes, playing soccer, and traveling to new cities with her husband and two daughters. Maggie considers herself to be a lifelong learner with enthusiastic curiosity for life and trying new experiences. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
